November Finds 2025 pt. iii

I went shopping again!? We were headed out to an antique mall the next city over. It was so busy (there was an event going on that I had no idea about) so we couldn't find parking. I didn't want to deal with the crowd so we left and decided to check out a small secondhand store we never knew existed until I frantically googled "antiques near me!!!!!" I didn't want to waste the trip HAHA

It was a quaint and cute little shop filled with the most lovely things! Small world - the two elderly owners are the mother and father of a coworker! Pretty crazy. Anyways, in this store I found something that has been on my dream wishlist...I can finally mark it off! I could've bought one off of eBay or Etsy but I refused to pay the crazy mark ups.

A corner étagère! Here it is styled in my dining room:

Pretty, right!?

The other goodies I found include: a holiday table runner, doorknocker, paintings, wall deco, a small shelf, candle holder, Christmas tree ornament, and lastly, a pink cowboy boot mug that will be used as a planter in my room!

Behold my treasures. The angel picture was from a Catholic church in Texas.

Rain Lamp 2025

I finally had time (and energy lol) Friday evening to fuss with my "new" rain lamp. My husband bought it for me as a wedding anniversary gift! It was ridiculously expensive but she is so, so gorgeous it was worth it.

She was quite dirty, covered in dust, grime, and old mineral oil.

We had to take the lamp apart to really clean it. I used a simple mix of warm water and Dawn dish soap with a microfiber cloth to clean all the old oil off.

Made in 1974! Hard to believe this lamp is 51 years old.

After some TLC, the lamp was ready to get hung up and for a fresh pour of mineral oil. Husband is planning on rewiring it in the future for safety reasons just in case!

November Finds 2025 pt. ii

Went shopping on a whim today! I got this really cute Christmas bear candle holder, wire leaf basket, and cherub candle holder for $3 each.

A wooden curio cabinent that I was hoping to use for my Lenox Spice Village set but the cabinet itself is too wide for the space I wanted it to go in. T_T I should've measured but I'm going to use it either way. Instead, I'm going to paint it and hang it in my room and use it for extra makeup storage.

A cute ribbon stand. It was labeled as a napkin holder but I'm using it for soaps instead.

Lastly, some cute country goose mugs! These were also $3 each. Now I just need some goose plates and I will be all set!

November Finds 2025

I had one of the most successful shoppping weekends yet! I've gotten my hands on some really beautiful finds. I cannot emphasize enough how much happiness is in my heart right now, hehe. ♥

Firstly, we have finally decided to start on decorating the bedroom after four years in our home! Of course, it was done on a whim...mostly because we found these really beautiful vintage nightstands for a great price. They are fully made with wood.

My husband can finally cross a dreamie off of his list - a globe for the library. We nabbed a small brass pitcher (that I still need to find a home for), and of course, some beloved Cherished Teddies.

A wall plaque for the entryway, a mail organizer, a deviled eggs platter, and a couple of ornaments for the Christmas tree.

Bad quality pic but I had to remove the background as this was in the garage so it made for an ugly picture LOL

This beautiful hutch!!!! I am so stoked. We saw it on Saturday and we both liked it but we decided we didn't need it. By Sunday evening he changed his mind and returned on Monday morning to buy it. I was worried someone got it, but thankfully it was still there!

Now, for the GRAND FINALE....

Look at the cute little brass planter. It's currently the house for the jade plant I received as a gift from my mom!

Check out this absolutely gorgeous rain lamp. I cannot believe she is ours. I've had a rain lamp on my "Dream Items That I Will Probably Never Get My Hands On" list for years. I'm so happy I could cry!!!!!!

July Finds 2025

The tiniest haul for July. I didn't have a lot of time or energy this month to do any shopping (or any of my hobbies for that matter.) I did get a couple very cute Cherished Teddies.

his name is bearemiah.

May Finds 2025

Oh man, it's been a few months since I've been able to browse the thrift shops. On Sunday I had a lunch and shopping date with husband's niece (it's hard to believe she's turning 25 in a few weeks...I met her when she was just a little baby at 9!) We were out for several hours and I was starting to feel a bit bummed because I hadn't found anything...she suggested we try a thrift shop in a neighboring city that I had never been to before. It's only about 45 mins away so I thought sure! Why not!

I am so glad I decided to go!! I came home with some cute treasures:

My haul this month was not big at all, but I am soooooo so happy with what I've got. There were a few "catch & release" dish sets I came across; I really wanted to take them home but I banned myself from buying more dishware and mugs because I have way too many right now.

(5/28) edited to add:

I went out on a whim for a brunch and thrift date. I didn't find what I was looking for (something big and decorative to put on the wall in the foyer above a mirror) but that's OK because I found the sweetest birthday bears.

A frame I will use as a pinboard for my enamel pins & some cherub decor that I'm going to put on my vanity.

January Finds 2025

A small haul for this month so far! I went out with plans to find a new stool or bench for my vanity. The one I have now is a couple of years old, and it was bought from TJ Maxx so it's not the best quality (the cushion has already gone flat!) I didn't find what I was looking for so I think I might just make a new cushion myself. Anyways I came home with a few treats:

A simple Corningware casserole dish for $3. I got this because my mom notoriously keeps all my dishes when I bring something over to my parent's house lol

Check out this brass cherub mirror...isn't it beautiful? I think I had mirrors on my blacklist at some point, but I really could not resist this one! Debating on whether or not I want to replace the actual glass mirror—it's kinda ~aesthetic~ all scuffed up lmao.

A porcelain candle holder. Another thing that's on my blacklist but I couldn't help but be charmed by the blue peonies on it! Lastly, I got a cute shelf! It matches the heart wall candle sconces I got back in August (How lucky!)
